Fotofab Chemical Etching -

A World Apart in A World of Parts

Chemical etching – sometimes referred to as chemical machining – is the production method of choice for thin metal parts used in industries ranging from aerospace and defense, to electronic components, optics and medical devices. That’s because photochemical etching is an accurate and affordable way to produce high-quality precision parts very quickly and with minimal burden on your time.

Fotofab has been a leader in the chemical etching and metal stamping industry for over 40 years. Typical applications of our photo etching process include RF shielding, stainless steel mesh, screens, contacts, connector housings, flat springs and more. In addition to a broad selection of standard RF shields, we can also produce custom RF shielding to any specification.

We produce these high-precision metal components from virtually any material – including titanium, nitonol and nickel. If you’re in a hurry, our rapid prototyping service can often deliver your prototype in a matter of days - in fact, same-day delivery is also an option. Yes, we’re that fast!

Chemical etching is often a cost-effective option to other methods such as laser cutting. Additional operations – including plating and finishing, forming, stamping and 4-slide – are all performed onsite and make Fotofab the faster and more cost-effective choice.
