While the hard tooling for stamping is typically several thousands of dollars more than photochemical machining tooling, the process typically offers lower prices for parts that are formed into three dimensions. Fotofab can offer you a seamless transition between photochemical machining and stamping, where it makes sense. Ideal candidates for stamped parts include all of the same metals that can be photochemically machined, in thickness from .002" (.05mm) to .135" (3.43mm).
